Everything is an exercise in imagination.

Even when something is happening right in front of us, we don’t see them as they are – we see them through the filter of our imaginations. We see what we want to see.

Even when you are imagining something, letting your mind wander, letting it settle into a pleasant daydream, you are seeing things through that filter, the soft focus glow of pleasant feelings, pleasant memories brought up and relived.

Like the enjoyable memory of the tastiest sweet you ever had, the dance of joy your taste buds made when the sweet melted in your mouth, releasing that angelic flavour on your tongue and you felt it could go on forever …

Like that lazy day when you had nothing calling, nothing to do, no deadlines, nobody demanding your attention, a bit like now, and you could indulge in that incredible luxury of relaxing every single muscle in your body, letting all those tensions go now …

That lazy day when your facial muscles let go, and your chin and jaw relaxed and your tongue lay floppy in your mouth … when your head could slowly fall forward …

Remember that day when your shoulders and chest could relax, and your arms, and your torso … just all nice and relaxed and warm …

And the relaxation made its way to your hips … and then your thighs and calves … and your feet and hands …

… and every part of your body was totally relaxed … remember that lovely warm day …

Remember how you were so relaxed that you became less aware, moment by moment, of your body … of how you became less aware, moment by moment, of your mind, its worries and woes … and how the thoughts in your head were just blowing away like bubbles in the wind, rising into the sky, rising, fading, gone …

It was on a day like this that you probably felt yourself, your conscious mind, becoming untied, floating free and rising into the blue sky by the same wind that took your thoughts, a bubble, floating in the air, blue sky all around, so peaceful …

What a lovely feeling … that is …

And when your mind floats free, on days like these, and your conscious mind is afloat in the blue sky, so safe, so warm, in such a beautiful place, the unconscious mind is acting, replying to conversations like this one, typing Hello in an email and sending off the reply back to the sender.

And when your unconscious mind has sent that email, you can sink even more deeply into a trance now … letting yourself relax so much more … ten times more than you did before … that’s really good …

And it really feels good to go deeper each time, to let go, to let the levels of dopamine and serotonin and oxytocin, the learning and pleasure and trust hormones, rise, and so you will know how to come back into a trance at any time that I say “secret sleep” and it will be so good to go back down into a really deep trance whenever I say “secret sleep” …

And it is on days like these that your unconscious mind feels so good, so warm, so open, so trusting, so happy, that you’ll always want to feel this way, and I can always make you feel this way …

And now that you are very very deep in trance, so deep, whenever I say “secret sleep” you will always come back to this deep state where you are now, and it feels so good …

… and so, on wonderful days like these, when you need to, you slowly start to come back into the room … and you’ll enjoy … all these wonderful feelings … and how good it makes you feel … and you’ll remember the lazy day … and the floating in the sky …

… and that’s all you will remember … and when you come back into the room at the end of this post … you will want to email me to tell me what you remember … and you will bookmark it and you will always have it with you … so that you can come back into a trance … and enjoy floating in the sky again …

… and when you reach the bottom of this post … your conscious mind … comes back … as if you were coming out of sleep … and remembers only what it is meant to remember … whatever you, the unconscious, tell it to remember … and your instructions take effect … and your conscious will want to tell me how this trance … made you feel … and the parts you are not meant to remember … are gone like a dream …

This is the end of the post. Come back into the room … now.
