Some of you want to know how to relax, to let go and just sink quietly into a physical and mental state of peace.
This post is for you. It is not a simple description of how to let go; this is a practical post which will take you into that state.
The pattern you are looking at is a powerful tool to induce relaxation. Just keep looking at it and follow the pattern of colours as they ripple and change. Periodically, a pulse of light comes out of the centre at you, a series of rings spreading outwards in a great pulsing burst. Every pulse is a gentle push, driving you back into your seat; you feel it like a surge of warmth in your chest, spreading outwards from the centre like the pulse itself, borne through your bloodstream to every part of your body on elevated tides of dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin.

It feels good to let go physically, to feel the muscle tensions dissipate and fade away, but at the same time as you physically let go you find your mind letting go of all its tensions, fears and concerns, all those niggling little worries that had been keeping your heart rate elevated and your blood pumping. Going away now, like clouds of steam in the wind. Only clear air, which you are breathing in, breathing out.
Breathing in, breathing out.
Nice and slow and easy. Now go back to the pattern, and gaze at it for another while, breathing in when you see one pulse, breathing out when you see the next one. Nice and slow and regular, and your body and mind relaxing so completely.
